I am many things in life. Above all, I am a Mama, Wife, and Teacher of Many Things. As you learn about me, you’ll learn I’m authentic. I speak from the heart. While I wear many hats, sometimes specific priorities have me switching hats often. I’ve done many things in my life and have zero regrets. Why? Because while many things are not always pleasant or easy, those things have taught me more than any book or teacher could.
Experiences Are Our Best Teachers
I look at specific problems as lessons being taught to me. They are called EXPERIENCES. We all have different ones and if we pay attention, we can learn from each other. We are connected by families, friends, colleagues, music, food, and so on. The internet also joins us, and as you browse through the pages, you’ll see how connected we all are. We are either a parent or know one. We also know teachers. Parents are our children’s first teachers.
Motherhood is a blessing. I am a Mama to 4 beautiful children. My husband and I like to call ourselves the “Brady Bunch,” because we are a blended family of 6 and so blessed. Not only did I learn tons while being a young mama and raising 2 of my own with their dad, but learning how to be a stepmama to 2 was a different learning curve I eagerly took on later in life. Our fondest memories are from when all 4 of our high schoolers were under one roof! Believe me when I say, I could not do any of it by myself. My tribe is my support system.
I believe Parenting was my greatest calling.
Parenting challenges are endless, but so are the blessings. I learned a lot from other parents. In turn, I passed down what I knew to others, as I shared my experiences. As a first-time parent, some might have thought I was thrown a curve ball right off the bat. But that experience as a first-time Mama is one I’ll forever treasure. You see, you never do know what life tosses at you. My “curve ball” turned into a “grand slam.”
I’ve learned how to DO LIFE in a different way.
I am married to my best friend. I’ve always wanted to share life with someone special who sees me as a true partner. For my Husband and I, this is our “second go-around,” and we also want it to be our last. I have learned so much from my Previous Life, as I like to call it. Today, I have a Partner in life, who takes advice from me and supports me along the way. Not only did I learn how to truly DO LIFE, but I also got to live it as fully as I could. We are all spiritual beings who are connected together and while we all have our own experiences, we have common threads that connect us all. You’ll see what experiences I mean.
I was working alongside a WEALTH of experiences that shaped me into the teacher I am today.
When I was a little girl, my absolute favorite gift from Santa was a chalkboard. I used it ALL THE TIME. Fast forward through 4 years of college and I landed a job in the same school I went to as a child. Not only did I have to call former teachers by their first names (because they were then colleagues), but as a first-year teacher of my very own classroom, I was a sponge of information from my coworkers. As I created my own experiences, I became one of those teachers who was able to pass that knowledge down to new teachers. I believe my parenting and teaching experiences molded me to be better at both important jobs.
I Love to Learn
While I will always be a teacher, I continue to love learning. From new recipes to homemade beauty products to learning about chakras and how to stay healthy, I’ve got it here. Not only do I like to learn new things, but I also like to teach what I know. You’ll see on my pages I’m doing that. There is something for everyone in this unique Community.
See how I am able to accomplish all of these things here. I continue to live my best life and I want to share what I know with you. I can humbly say I certainly don’t know everything (who does?) but I like to learn from others too, so don’t hesitate to reach out if you learned something that made you smile or if you are looking for something specific that I can help you find.
